Genoptix Faraday Avenue Building

Genoptix Medical Laboratories (recently acquired by Novartis) is a national provider of rapid oncology and hematology diagnostics and one of Fortune Magazine’s 10 fastest growing companies in the United States.

FPBA has programmed and designed all of Genoptix’s Diagnostic Laboratory facilities including this most recent full-building renovation in Carlsbad, CA. This $9.7 million project comprises 44,000 square feet of laboratories, physician and technician office and work areas together with staff amenity areas and technical support space. The existing shell building and site were also completely renovated to create a more contemporary and appropriate corporate image and to provide exterior gathering areas for staff and greater connectivity to adjacent Genoptix facilities.

The architectural design for the entire project was completed in BIM (Building Information Modeling). The mechanical/electrical work was all completed as design-build through the general contractor.
