What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?
I enjoy reading and recently finished The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson, which is an exceptional non-fiction/biography that intertwines architect Daniel H. Burnham’s design of the 1893 World’s Fair with America’s first known serial killer. My favorite books tend to be thriller / mystery novels, much like the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child, where the protagonist kicks @#*, gets the girl and solves the crime.
What physical activity do you like best and why?
I try to stay active through exercise and enjoy running, weightlifting, and indoor cycling (spin). When I feel unmotivated or lazy, which is quite often, I am reminded of my doctor’s rhetorical question at the conclusion of a past exam where he simply asked, “What fits your busy schedule better, exercising one hour a day or being dead 24 hours a day?” See you at the gym!
