How do you contribute to the community?
I really enjoy working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Currently, I serve as a court appointed special advocate (CASA) for foster children through a nonprofit organization called “Voices for Children”. In this role, I have had the privilege to work with multiple foster children, gathering information from Court documents, social worker’s files, education, medical, and therapy records to advocate for the child in court and school. The best part is spending time with the kids and getting to know them personally!
What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?
I love to travel, exercise, dine at new restaurants, and play board games. I’m always trying to plan my next trip abroad and hope to visit Southeast Asia next! My husband introduced me to the game Settlers of Catan and I’ve become hooked. When I’m in San Diego, you can find me at the gym, farmers market, checking out a new local restaurant or just out and about people watching!
