What’s your favorite building and why?
One of the buildings that always fascinated me throughout my education and career is House N by Sou Fujimoto Architects, located in Japan. I admire Fujimoto for his philosophy of architecture. He connects his buildings to nature and its surrounding environment. For the project House N he chose the simple concept of three wall cubes sitting inside of each other, which creates a variety of inside and outside spaces that are both, private and public, as well as something in-between.
What architect/artist/designer inspires you and why?
I have always been inspired by Dutch, Swiss and Japanese architecture. The work of Neutelings Reidijk Architects, Le Corbusier and Sou Fujimoto Architects is very special because they always make the user experience their buildings through extraordinary space concepts, a sensitive use of materials and the creation of unique light situations.
