Celebrating team spirit across offices with Spirit Week!

Last week, our San Diego and Bay Area offices brought the energy for FPBA’s first-ever joint Spirit Week since joining forces with CAS Architects. From sketching on screen to solving riddles, each day brought its own mix of creativity, competition, and connection.

We kicked off the week in comfort with Pajama Day. Slippers, sleep masks, and patterned pants made their office debut while teams squared off in a fast-paced game of Taboo. Let’s just say it was the opposite of easy and ends with someone shouting, “just skip it!”

Tuesday celebrated self-expression with Funky Accessory Day, as the team rocked feathers, brass knuckles, wigs, and more. A big congrats to Kate Novikova for claiming the title for best accessory! We also held our first all-office virtual Pictionary match, where San Diego outdrew Mountain View using the classic canvas of Microsoft Paint (yes, it still exists). Stylus users definitely had an edge over their mouse-wielding teammates.

On Wednesday, the offices came to life with color for Monochrome Day. Whether dressed in hot pink or minimal in head-to-toe gray, everyone made a statement. In the afternoon, we kicked off our Giant Jenga happy hour, where players got inventive with their block placements to raise the stakes—and eventually send the tower tumbling.

Thursday wrapped things up with Swag Day and the much-anticipated scavenger hunt. From digging through the fridge to peeking behind TV screens, teams raced to solve clues hidden across the office. One group cracked the final riddle: “Where is 100 less than 99?” The answer? The microwave—where the final card was waiting inside.

The week was full of creativity, collaboration, and good-natured rivalry—fueled by our shared passion and core value of fostering team spirit. We’re already looking forward to the next round.
