What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?
Lately I’ve been very interested in cooking. I’ve set a goal for myself to rediscover, document, and master dishes cooked by my family. I believe that flavors are one of the best ways of preserving memories, and to me nothing is more tragic than never being able to experience a once familiar flavor. When I have a free day, you will most likely find me grabbing a bite to eat with friends. Cooking helps satiate this urge to eat interesting food, without burning a hole through my wallet…
- Where is your favorite travel destination?
When it comes to traveling, I still have much to do. However, I’ve never felt like I’ve been stuck in one place, due to the sheer number of different environments near San Diego. Simply the act of getting some friends together and breaking away from the stresses of daily life is my favorite way of traveling. Whether it’s sleeping in a freezing, snow-covered van up Mount Laguna, or facing the harsh desert heat in a tent in Joshua Tree National Park, exploring new places with friends is my way of resetting.
