What architect/artist/designer inspires you and why?
Mexican architect Luis Barragan has always been a huge inspiration of mine. His simplistic yet bold use of light and color brings such spirituality to a space. Beyond that, it’s hard to choose just one, but Eero Saarinen comes to mind. The way his buildings mimicked organic shapes made them works of art in their own right, not just functional spaces.
What book resonates with you most and why?
“20 Love Poems and a Song of Despair” by Pablo Neruda. I love how great poetry can evoke such a range of emotions in just a few lines, and Neruda is one of the masters.
