What is your favorite building and why?
The Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. It’s unlike any church or building I’ve ever seen. So large, so unusual, even bizarre. Part of it looked like melting chocolate to me.
The fact that it will take almost 150 years to build makes it that much more unique. Having seen St Peter’s in Rome and St Mark’s in Venice on the same trip, it seemed like it was other-worldly.
What physical activity do you like best?
This would have to be a tie between golf and hiking. Being up in the beautiful hills of the Bay Area on a trail with no one around can feel like you are transported to another place and time. The smells and sounds of the trees and nature are grounding and calming, all while getting the blood pumping! New to golf, I find the challenge of never being able to hit the ball the same way twice to be a lesson in patience. It looks so easy when watching others do it, how can it possibly be that hard?
