Where is your favorite travel destination?
My favorite travel destination is Italy. Growing up, I was captivated by its rich history and the architectural marvels that have shaped much of the modern world. Learning about it in school laid the foundation but experiencing it firsthand was truly remarkable. Standing amidst centuries-old structures—profound, monolithic, intricate, and breathtaking—I felt the weight of history come alive.
Three moments stand out most vividly:
- Milan – Wandering in front of the Cathedral of Milan at night, I was enveloped by its grandeur while distant music drifted through the air, adding a touch of magic to the scene.
- Florence – Waiting in line to explore the Duomo, I discovered the queue was actually for climbing its ±376 steps. The unexpected ascent became a memorable adventure.
- Rome – Gazing up into the Pantheon’s dome, I was struck by its timeless elegance and engineering brilliance.
Italy wasn’t just a destination—it was a living museum, a place where every corner whispered stories of the past.
What is something that always makes you laugh?
My boys, J and A. People often say they’re little replicas of me, and I see it every day—in the way they mirror my body language, mimic my tone, and echo my words. It’s both hilarious and humbling. J is always bursting into song, while A can’t help but dance through life. Watching them express themselves so freely and joyfully never fails to make me smile.
